Established in 1963 and now proudly operating under the Gosling Group in Coffs Harbour, Quad Switchboards is an industry leader in custom switchboard manufacturing. We specialise in the design and production of custom-built switchboards, distribution boards, control panels, meter panel boards, and power factor correction equipment, servicing clients in the commercial, industrial, and mining sectors across Australia.

Our experienced team delivers a full end-to-end service solution from concept to installation. We work closely with clients to design and build precision-engineered switchboards tailored to each project’s unique operational and regulatory requirements.

As a proud member of the National Electrical Switchboard Manufacturers Association (NESMA), we prioritise compliance with Australian Standards and Supply Authority regulations. Switchboard Design & Manufacturing

  • Main switchboards, distribution boards, control panels, meter panel boards, and power factor correction equipment
  • Modular or custom builds, floor-standing or wall-mounted
  • Capacity up to 3200A
  • Built and tested to AS/NZS61439 standards
  • Achieved 50kA/1s rating, form 4b separation, and internal arc fault compliance
  • Protection levels: IP43, IP56, IP66 (weather-sealed)
  • Form types: 1, 2a, 2b, 3a, 3b, 3bih, 4a, 4b
  • Fault ratings up to 80kA / 1s

Power Factor Correction Units

  • Improve energy efficiency and reduce power bills
  • Ensure installation power factor maintained at 0.9 or better

Distribution Boards

  • Custom-built or proprietary solutions up to 2000A
  • Tailored to installation requirements

Manufacturing & Service Inclusions

  • Manufactured from powder coated mild steel, 304/316 stainless steel, or aluminium
  • Wired assembly tested to AS61439.1 and AS61439.2
  • Built in accordance with AS/NZS3000 and NSW Service and Installation Rules
  • Supply authority coordination, time study curves, and shop drawings for approvals
